Sabato 24 novembre 2007 dalle ore 18.30 la Galleria A+A presenta V.I.T.R.I.O.L., mostra collettiva a cura di Roberta Gucci Cantarini.

V.I.T.R.I.O.L. riunisce opere di artisti del panorama internazionale che, attraverso diversi linguaggi, utilizzano i propri mezzi come bisturi per portare alla luce dinamiche che governano la vita dell’uomo contemporaneo.

L’idea di questa mostra nasce dal sospetto e dal dubbio su cosa realmente agisca nel nostro intimo, quasi a nostra insaputa. I rapporti interpersonali, le interferenze o gli stimoli di tutto quanto è esterno alla formazione dell’individuo, l’apertura a ciò che è straniero/alieno, la nascita o la disfatta di una condotta morale, la città come vero e proprio paesaggio mentale, la necessità di solitudine e concentrazione e il loro risvolto più arido, il gioco, la resistenza. Il punto di partenza è dunque ciò che in ogni individuo non è consciamente condivisibile, i processi che misteriosamente hanno luogo in noi, alle nostre spalle.

Gli artisti invitati, “maestri del sospetto”, sondano l’animo umano dall’interno, ne testano i mutamenti e le reazioni con intenti e codici differenti. Per un’impresa di questo genere qualsiasi mezzo è lecito: dall’inganno al riciclaggio di informazioni, dal travestimento fino alla mutazione, dalla messa in scena della nascita alla messa in scena della morte, fino all’erosione delle verità. Ciò che è importante è la trasparenza dell’operazione.

Vitriol è il nome con cui si conosceva anticamente l’acido solforico, scoperto nel nono secolo dal medico persiano Ibn Zakariya al-Razi. Nel corso dei secoli il vetriolo divenne la base degli studi dei più grandi alchimisti, tra cui Albertus Magnus. Per le sue proprietà venne considerato tappa fondamentale dell’Opera per giungere alla pietra filosofale: purificato al massimo grado, infatti, reagisce violentemente con molte sostanze ma non con l’oro. La parola vetriolo deriva da “vitreus”, con riferimento alla trasparenza dei sali di zolfo. Nonostante questo, di fatto, i sali raccolti sotto il nome di vitriol hanno diverse colorazioni: blu (solfato di rame), verde (solfato di ferro), rosso (solfato di cobalto), bianco (solfato di zinco). Il vetriolo divenne per gli alchimisti regola della ricerca stessa e dei sacrifici ad essa necessari: V.I.T.R.I.O.L. – Visita Interiora Terrae Rectificando Invenies Occultum Lapidem.

12 artists from Europe are invited by Christian Rainer to create a videoart for any track of his new album "Turn Love to Hate".
First Official presentation will be in occasion of Biennale di Venezia 2007 (June, 8-9-10, Venice/San Servolo)

The Anteprima of this collective project will be presented in the Festival "Meringhe Rosa" (June, 2 Cartoceto (PU) Italy).

The Event: may 4 2007 at 5 pm. All peoples of Macchiagodena (Isernia, Italy) will start theirs TVs connected on the village's channel expressly created for the event.They will Show images shooting in an unmanned House, having as a sound off, the voice of old owner reached in his new foreign Country. He must guide the operator within the House just with his memory support.
This New Christian Rainer's Work is part of a first edition of "IO PROJECT", Festival dedicated to The Absence.
